Kindness
We played baseball yesterday and Jeremy [name changed for privacy] was our second baseman. He is developmentally delayed and cannot yet tie his shoelaces.
At one point, Carlos [name changed] from the other team landed on second base, and was standing inches in front of Jeremy. Carlos is our most loudmouthed and intimidating teenager. As I watched them, Jeremy looked so vulnerable, standing behind this rough gangster. Then I saw the most precious thing:
Carlos turned around, bent down, and tied Jeremy's shoelaces.
Weakness is not always misused. Rather, it invites kindness.

Just like God has an infinite love for us,
I believe that there are an infinite number of ways that we can serve God.
And the way we serve God is not created by any person, preacher, or priest,
But instead created on an individual bases between God and each of God's creations...
When God,
In His own way,
Sent you an invitation,
Following your faith,
You took up a challenging career serving God,
Patiently, compassionately, and lovingly, with joy,
Helping nurture, heal, and protect,
God’s most precious gift, His children.
Natalie, it’s a true honor to know you,
And if I may,
On behalf of those too young or unable to thank you---
Thank you!
