This week we came to the great crescendo of the Songs of Ascents - the "Unless God" chapter.

1 Unless the Lord builds the house,
They labor in vain who build it;
Unless the Lord guards the city,
The watchman keeps awake in vain.
- Psalm 127

And verse 2 is even lovelier:

2 It is vain for you to rise early
and stay up late,
toiling for food;
For He gives to His beloved even in her sleep.
