Carla was telling us that ever since she got married, her friends hardly call her anymore. "We just assumed you were busy doing newlywed stuff."

At her wedding, she had a purity ceremony for the single people, and I participated too! (Though it was mainly meant for teenagers.) We each brought a mentor to place a purity ring on our finger, and my dad agreed to do it.

I think he thought the whole thing was kitschy, because he had this amused grin on his face the entire time.
