Moving

My housemates and I are scattering: Jacklyn is getting married, Anya is moving to Washington, Hilary is moving closer to work, and I am moving in with Ama and Lindy.
My housemates and I are moving out by this weekend, so this morning I took a carload to my new place. After packing my car, I realized I'd emptied my entire closet and desk. So I thought I may as well make another car trip and move the remainder of my stuff. Two (count them, two) carloads to move all my stuff.

I called Ryan from church and he moved my furniture . . . and now, just a few hours later, I'm completely moved in! I'm already settled at my new place!

Minderella

One of our little girls asks me to read the same story every night. It's the Toontown version of Cinderella. Our favorite part, which we read over and over and over again (each time with more giggles, then sighs, then giggles), happens after Minderella shows up to Prince Mickey's pool party:

Minderella took off her robe and slipped into her glass flippers. Her swimsuit and flippers sparkled. Prince Mickey stared. "Who's THAT?" he asked Sir Goofy.

He makes me lie down under redwood Giants

He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul. -Psalm 23

"I want to go to Sequoia," I told my friend.

"Then let's just go!" my friend said. "I'll skip work." So we simply got in the car and started driving to Central California, both of us sleep deprived and silly. Once there, we were immediately quieted by the still beauty. The sequoias stood like titans among the other pines, so large they were dreamlike.
